LEVELS OF SERVICE

Not all Realtors® are "full service" (or "traditional") agents.  Some agents package together a smaller set of services and/or offer services on an a la carte basis.  At AgentsCompared.com we refer to two levels of service - Full Service and Basic Service. 

Agents providing Full Service or Basic Service offer, at a minimum, the services described below.  Look at the agent's "Service Details" and "Other Services" fields on our search results page for more information. 

 

IF YOU ARE SELLING-

 

Basic Service means:

  • Immediate placement of listing on local MLS
  • Listing will appear on Realtor.com
  • At least one "for sale" yard sign

 

Full Service means:

  • Home pricing advice 
  • Assistance in preparing home for showing
  • Immediate placement of listing on local MLS
  • Listing will appear on Realtor.com
  • At least one "for sale" yard sign
  • Answer all prospective buyer inquiries relating to your home
  • Schedule and attend property showings
  • Assist with reviewing offers, preparing counteroffers, negotiating with prospective buyers, and preparing necessary disclosures
  • Assist with escrow and other post-contract tasks, contingencies, paperwork
  • Assist with closing preparation and attend closing in person

IF YOU ARE BUYING-

 

Basic Service means:

  • Buyer will be primarily responsible for searching for homes
  • Schedule and accompany Buyer to some property showings and assist Buyer with evaluating some properties (maximum number of showings/evaluations may apply)
  • Assist with preparing offers, reviewing all counteroffers, negotiating with sellers, and preparing necessary disclosures
  • Assist with escrow and other post-contract tasks, contingencies, paperwork
  • Assist with closing preparation and attend closing in person

 

Full Service means:

  • Agent will be primarily responsible for searching for homes
  • Schedule and accompany Buyer to all property showings and assist Buyer with evaluating all properties
  • Assist with preparing offers, reviewing all counteroffers, negotiating with sellers, and preparing necessary disclosures
  • Assist with escrow and other post-contract tasks, contingencies, paperwork
  • Assist with closing preparation and attend closing in person
